Characterization of tumor parameters after photon and proton radiation
The position is embedded in a cooperation project within the NCRO (National Center for Radiooncology) including research groups in Heidelberg and Dresden.
• imaging (MRI, PET, ultrasound) and image processing of tumor micromilieu parameters of experimental tumors in vivo after radiation with photons and protons
• implementation of experimental proton radiation and setup development
• histological stainings and fluorescence microscopy
• working in cooperation with partners: mathematical modeling of vascular structures, 3D-histology

- • graduate Diploma or Master in biophysics, biotechnology, medical physics, biology, medicine (or related field) with very good or good marks and affinity to find technical solutions
• previous experience in tumor biology, radiation physics, medical technology is desirable
• interest in translational studies on experimental tumors including readiness to perform in vivo experiments (FELASA B)
• very good communication skills
• ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary research team
• motivation and discipline to carry out autonomous research
• willingness to work outside core time

The position will be available from May 2016. The employment contract is limited to three years. The salary is based on the collective agreement TVöD-Bund (E13), with a starting salary corresponding to 50 % of full-time scientist position. The place of work is Dresden.
