Simulation, Design, and Fabrication of micro-optical components with three-dimensional two-photon polymerization
We use three-dimensional (3D) two-photon polymerization (TPP) to structure a variety of optical devices. The components enable novel concepts for hybrid 2D/3D integration of different material platforms that are used in many applications ranging from optical communications to bio-sensing. For high-performance components, shape control and surface quality are crucial and have to be systematically optimized.
Your Tasks:
• Simulate and design optical freeform components with focus on lenses and diffraction gratings.
• Optimize the fabrication process of optical components using a 3D-Printer for microstructures.
• Measure the surface quality, shape and performance of the fabricated structures.
