Experimental Methods For Measuring Thermoelectric Properties Of Thin Films
In times of growing energy demands the need for energy-saving methods is tremendous. Thermoelectricity is a technology, which could be used to recover energy out of un-used waste heat and could be applied in sensors as power support or sensing material. One important goal of an international, European-funded project is the development of thermoelectrically active thin films, which can be applied in infrared sensors.
Objective of the thesis:
- Setup of methods for measuring thermoelectric properties of thin films
(Seebeck coefficient, electrical resistivity, thermal conductivity)
- Installation of the methods in available state-of-the-art industry tools
- Systematic planning and realization of experiments
- Conclusion of the results and discussion in the team
- Continuous improvement of the measurement methods on the basis of the obtained results
