Graduate Development Engineer / International Graduate Program (f/m)

SCHOTT Electronic Packaging is a leading developer and manufacturer of hermetic housings and other components for the reliable, long-term protection of sensitive electronics. Our core technologies are glass-to-metal and ceramic-to-metal sealing, thermal sensing components as well as a variety of cutting edge specialty glass competences.

Within these 24 months International Graduate Program you will be target-oriented familiarized and receive a well-roundet insight into the tasks of the Development department. We are looking for a Graduate effective 1st December 2017. You will receive an unlimited contract and will be prepared for the future work of a development engineer in our plant in Minakuchi/Japan.

Your tasks
Planning and steering projects to develop and modify products and processes
Strong collaboration with adjacent areas (e.g. Production, Sales, Quality)
Support activities to improve efficiency and productivity
Planning and conduction of experiments

Anforderungen
Your profile
- University degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Elektrical Engineering, Material Science or similar fields with above-average results and well grounded knowledge in the raw material glass and ceramics
- Good entrepreneurial, process-oriented thinking and acting
- International experience trough various work experience, internships and/or staying abroad
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Strong command of German, English and Japanese language skills
- High flexibility and ability ot perform in challenging situations
- High result orientation
- Willingness to work in Japan after the Graduate Program
